Vice x HP Spectorium
A music and light space where the audience is the artist.
A Toby And Pete installation, where design and code came together. Vice came to us to show off HP’s Spectre x360 touchscreen laptop, and with producer Race Banyon we built the HP Spectorium for Art Month Sydney.
Three Spectre laptops each carried 12 touch triggers, so up to 18 people could play at once, remixing Race’s audio while mutating the projections across the walls and ceiling. Race supplied six harmonious tracks at the same tempo, so however the crowd played, it stayed musical.
